Qld: Beattie hints at early election
Queensland Premier PETER BEATTIE has given a strong hint that he's only days away from
calling a state election.
Mr BEATTIE, who was in the Darling Downs city of Toowoomba today as part of a statewide
listening tour, says most people in his series of visits had indicated that he should
consider going to a poll sooner rather than later.
The premier, who must go to the polls by mid-year, says the interim findings of the
